A comparison between the original VW downpipe and Jetex downpipe shows clearly the larger bore pipework and less restrictive flow path.

The downpipe fits neatly to the turbo, although this is a tricky part to fit due to the tight space inbetween the sub frame. Once the downpipe is bolted to the turbo it aligns perfectly in the tunnel which allows the rest of the Jetex cat-back exhaust to connect using a stainless steel double end sleeve (U066320R) and two clamps (UBK067R).

The non-resonated pipe (T41T2R), or resonated silencer (41-20R) easily fits into the tunnel and attaches to the Jetex downpipe using a double-end sleeve. The over-axle pipe (41-3R) does not fit to any hanging points, while the rear box (41S40DR) is supported using two support brackets. The twin tailpipes fit through the V6 trim without any problems, although there is a small bracket that protudes across the cutout slightly. This needs to be trimmed
