A customer of Jetex Exhausts very kindly allowed us to publish results obtained from a rolling road test on his converted Mk2 Golf 16V which had been fitted with a Jetex two silencer (non-resonated) cat-back system.

Figures were recorded for standard and modified set ups to see what gains would be achieved by fitting a free flowing, larger bore Jetex exhaust system.

The results show that gains were achieved in both BHP and torque across the entire rev range. Notable improvements include a peak increase of 5% in BHP and over 7% peak increase in torque. Significantly, most torque gains were in the mid-range 3000-4000rpm and top-range 5750-7000rpm.

Furthermore, despite the car being fitted with Jetex's 2 silencer, non-resonated option, as opposed to the normal 3 silencer EU approved resonated system (28-HR), excess noise was not a problem, as our customer quotes:

"...note that the non-resonated system is not boomy but has a superb smooth sound that passes MSV decibel meter tests at values of 91dB to 94dB".

What more can we say?
